Take charge of you security urges Godrej Security Solutions

Godrej Security Solutions, India’s leading security solutions provider, kick started a multi-city consumer awareness programme and campaign #IAmSecure in Mumbai on, August 17, 2017. The objective of this campaign, the first leg of which was held today in Mumbai at Godrej One, is to create awareness among women to be more proactive and take charge of their own security, educate them about the various solutions and also educate them about the importance of learning self-defense for leading a safer and secure life. The event witnessed participation of over 150 women from different walks of life pledging to take charge of their security.

The event began with famous and one of my favourite Indian Stand-up Comedian Atul Khatri taking a humourous dig at the security preparedness among citizens in India. This was followed by a panel discussion on ‘Safety and security for women is a fundamental right’, which was moderated by Sunil Mehta, Senior Vice President & Area Systems Director - Central Asia, JWT. The panelist included: Mehernosh Pithawalla, Global Head - Marketing, Sales & Innovation, Godrej Security Solutions Division, Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd; Sandhya Shetty, model, actor, TV presenter and karate champion; Harshada Patil, legal expert on cases pertaining to sexual harassment, senior representatives from the police force.

According to a recent report by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), in India, every day 312 burglary, 99 robbery, and 1281 theft cases are recorded. Women, children and senior citizens are the victims of such gruesome incidents. Addressing the event, Lata Dattatray Sutar, Senior Female inspector, said, “While the police department is working relentlessly to ensure safety and security of women in the society, it is also important for women to become more aware of their surroundings, rights and take charge of their security. A collaborative effort will further help to fight against this issue.”

Adding to Lata’s opinion, Mehernosh said, “One of the biggest impediments to the adoption of security solutions in India has been a reactive attitude towards adopting solutions to safeguard one's valuables and loved ones. Society is getting more tech-rich and empowered, and yet we remain as vulnerable to crime as before. Today’s safety and security anxieties are tied up not just with personal safety, but with safety of our loved ones at homes, workplaces, schools and campuses, public places and so on. Hence it is important that women too now take charge of their security and pledge to keep themselves as well as their families secure too. We need to make a fundamental change in our behaviour and be more proactive about security.”

Sandhya Shetty, who spoke in detail how learning Karate made her feel more secure and confident opined, “As they say, prevention is better than cure. It is important that women should learn self-defense and be more aware of their environment and the security threats. I firmly believe that learning self-defense improves agility, alertness and adds to your confidence too as it reduces your dependencies on others for security.”

Godrej Security Solutions introduced it latest range of WiFi enabled DIY CCTVs called EVE. The Eve series is capable of directly streaming videos to the mobile handsets of the home owners, and helps one to watch over their loved ones from across the world. The EVE range of CCTVs has an auto-record function.

Godrej Security Solutions introduced three of their latest innovations on this platform. The three products are a plug and play wifi enabled CCTV camera that allows you to watch over your loved ones from across the world on your phone, wifi enabled video door phone and a plug n play burglar alarm system called Eagle I-Lite that raises an alarm when unusual motion is detected.

Celebrating 100 years of the 'Yoga Institute Of Mumbai'

In today's world, fitness is of utmost importance not just for physical wellbeing, but for mental peace as well. So when an invitation to be a part of Celebrating 100 years of the 'Yoga Institute Of Mumbai' came my way,  I just could not refuse this opportunity to gain better insight into the art of harmonizing the body and mind.

The Yoga Institute, Santacruz, one of the oldest organised Yoga Centre in the world –celebrated the 88th birthday of living Yogi Dr. Jayadeva Yogendraji along with a curtain raiser of the Centenary Logo of the Institute.

Smt. Hansa Jayadeva, Director, The Yoga Institute, Santacruz, said, “The Centenary Logo of The Yoga Institute has been exclusively designed to celebrate the mission as well as the vision of the oldest organized yoga institute in the world. Three generations of Yogis are relentlessly working to spread the knowledge of Yoga since 100 years. The Institute continues sharing practical applications of yogic ideals and making Yoga a way of life for millions across the globe.” She added, “Dr. Jayadeva Yogendra gives simple instructions and yet the message leaves a lasting impression on receivers. His message is to go within and be one with the self to know the self and understand it. Be a good student and the teacher will definitely come in your life. If the right does not stand up, the wrong cannot be controlled. A good Yoga teacher is a good role model for society.”

Shri Suresh Prabhu, who is looked upon for his simple lifestyle and attitude of Karma Yogi said, “Yoga goes beyond asana. There is a lot more that goes into practising Yoga. Yoga is one of the ways of knowing self. Another way of realising goals is via music as it renders harmony between mind, body and soul. I express my gratitude for being invited to be present on this gracious occasion and feel blessed to receive blessings of Dr. Jayadeva and Hansaji.” The audience was enlightened about, a man of few words, Dr Jayadev and his style of teaching the knowledge of Yoga in the most subtle yet impactful manner. Some awareness about the Institute’s signature teaching of Bhavas was also shared.

Another highlight of the day was the commemoration of Shri Yogendra Chowk. The Yogendra Chowk has been raised to commemorate 100 years of The Yoga Institute and pay tribute to the Founder, Shri Yogendraji. Born in a family of Yogis in 1929, Dr.Jayadeva Yogendra (M.A., PhD.), is a simple man and a true Yogi. Revered as a Guru for his absolute dedication to a life of discipline and simplicity, he has been spiritually inclined since childhood. Today, as the President of The Yoga Institute, he continues to carry on the Founder’s legacy in his silent and sincere way. Fondly known as Dr. Saheb, he has pioneered work in Yoga Education and Therapeutics. Dr.Jayadeva’s most significant contribution to the yoga renaissance is the introduction of Bhavas as expounded in the Samkhya philosophy, in conjunction with the practice of classical yoga asanas. He was awarded the prestigious Hargobindas scholarship in 1955 for his remarkable work on MoksaParvan of the Mahabharata (His Doctoral Thesis). Students at the Institute continue to draw constant inspiration from his wisdom, compassion, wit and unflinching commitment to truth.

It was truly an enriching experience to be amongst such eminent personalities and be a part of this grand celebration.

My Moto Experience (Motorolla G3 Review)

You must be thinking why should I read about a phone when it was launched quite a while back, because i have written this after extensively using the phone and I hope this might help some one to make a buying decision that the are stuck due to some or the other reasons. Its not a technical review of any kind as I am not yet an expert to this subject.
This is just my experience with the brand.
My 1st experience with Motorola was when I bought Moto-E in June 14 its was my 1st ever smartphone with decent specs and worked like a charm for me for 1 year until the internal memory became an issue, as I needed to instal heavy apps which were needed to make my life bit easy as a Digital Marketer. It was time to move on after a lot of research and waiting I decided to buy yet another Motorola phone the Moto G-3.
I did quite a bit research before buying my next phone as this time I needed my phone to serve a purpose it was a tough choice between one plus two, Asus Zenfone and Motorola and after careful consideration the price, specs and availability I went with the Motorola g-3, it was a logical choice, with price tag of 13,000INR and the following specs.(Mentioned at the bottom)

I have writing this after using the phone extensively for a month now and after i got the Marshmallow update for Android things have gotten only better, the batter life has significantly increased and the performance of the phone has also been uppped and the camera is much better than what it was before the up date. Here are some of the pictures that i have clicked with the camera.

To sum it up if you are looking for a good phone within the 15000 range there is no one better that the Moto-G3, and yes one thing i forgot to mention it really is waterproof.

Where Will The Freshers Go

Now when I say this, I honestly have experienced these problems myself. When I ask this question I am looking for an answer that will help me and the others as well to improve or help us understand what are we lacking. We as freshers go on a lot of interviews until finally we find a job. It may not be a job that you are looking for or the job that you want to make your career in, but you will still join the job because you are now sick & tired of job hunting, irritated by parents pressure or annoyed by being the only unemployed person among the your peers. People say we don't like to keep as the profile which they have applied to may be too important for the company & the company may not feel safe  giving it to an inexperienced person, we get that, but at some point of time the employer's needs to start trusting us.
I am not saying that all the freshers are correct and all the employer's are wrong or to put in more dramatically "not all the employer's are sent by the devil to torture you & make your life miserable because the education system hasn't done enough already". As freshers all we ask for the employer's is the right to know, its ok if you don't select us in an interview, you may be correct that we are not best suited for the job, but don't we at least deserve to know why are we not suited for the job? What did we do wrong? Or what was it that made you think that I am not the best candidate for the profile, the test that you take to determine our potential are almost never shown to the candidates.
I get it you are too busy to waste your time on this, you have lots to do which is far more important that this, but by sparing a few minutes of your time and telling the other person what went wrong, on what things he needs to improve so that he or she will not make the same mistake again costing them yet another job. I urge all the HR's to give this a thought and to give the candidate a feedback about the interview, not necessarily immediately. Because those few tips might help the person get his or her's dream job.

DIABETES MONITORING IS BETTER WITH DIABETES MANAGEMENT METERS

Managing diabetes is one part investigation and one part action. Unlike some other diseases that rely primarily on professional medical treatment, diabetes treatment requires active participation by the person who has it. Living with diabetes is not easy, you need to make certain changes on how you live your life. Managing diabetes is easy if you know how to effectively monitor your blood glucose level, and these Diabetes Management Meters help you make your job of managing your blood glucose much easier. Because one thing you have to remember that once you get diabetes, you have it for as long as you live. There is no cure for this disease but it can be managed.

Self-monitoring is an integral part of diabetes management because it puts you in charge. Regardless of how you manage your diabetes through diet and exercise alone or combined with oral medicines or insulin regular blood glucose monitoring provides immediate feedback on how your program is working. Checking your blood sugar level by your-self gives you the confidence to learn from actions and also the motivation to keep striving to do better, and self-monitoring tells you that’s what you’re doing either is working or isn’t. For many people with diabetes, managing it is a full-time job, and numbers outside the parameters of your goals can make you crazy. When you test, the results can be interpreted to mean that you’ve ‘passed’ or ‘failed.’ It’s emotionally charged experience, but when you monitor instead, you gather information and make adjustments as necessary. You just need to ask, what can I learn from this? Should I have said no to the extra bowl of Kheer? Do I need to lower my insulin dose before exercise? What can I do better to prevent this from happening in the future?’ That’s how it should be for everyone. This is what you can achieve with diabetes management meters
And if you ask me it’s a better to make regular adjustment and learn, rather than going through emotional experience every time you take the test.
