Now when I say this, I honestly have experienced these problems myself. When I ask this question I am looking for an answer that will help me and the others as well to improve or help us understand what are we lacking. We as freshers go on a lot of interviews until finally we find a job. It may not be a job that you are looking for or the job that you want to make your career in, but you will still join the job because you are now sick & tired of job hunting, irritated by parents pressure or annoyed by being the only unemployed person among the your peers. People say we don't like to keep as the profile which they have applied to may be too important for the company & the company may not feel safe giving it to an inexperienced person, we get that, but at some point of time the employer's needs to start trusting us.
I am not saying that all the freshers are correct and all the employer's are wrong or to put in more dramatically "not all the employer's are sent by the devil to torture you & make your life miserable because the education system hasn't done enough already". As freshers all we ask for the employer's is the right to know, its ok if you don't select us in an interview, you may be correct that we are not best suited for the job, but don't we at least deserve to know why are we not suited for the job? What did we do wrong? Or what was it that made you think that I am not the best candidate for the profile, the test that you take to determine our potential are almost never shown to the candidates.
I get it you are too busy to waste your time on this, you have lots to do which is far more important that this, but by sparing a few minutes of your time and telling the other person what went wrong, on what things he needs to improve so that he or she will not make the same mistake again costing them yet another job. I urge all the HR's to give this a thought and to give the candidate a feedback about the interview, not necessarily immediately. Because those few tips might help the person get his or her's dream job.
